Are secret notes end-to-end encrypted?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When a note is marked as Secret, the title and content are encrypted in your browser before being sent to the server. The encryption key is tied to your account and held in the crypt key vault — it never leaves your devices in plaintext, so the server only stores ciphertext.

Where is the encryption key stored?

After you unlock secret notes for the first time on a device, the key is kept in that browser's secure storage. It is reused on the same device and browser, but clearing site data, switching browsers, or using a private/incognito window will require unlocking the key again.

Question 8

I forgot my password. Can I recover my secret notes?

Accepted Answer

Yes — resetting your password does not invalidate your secret notes. The encryption key is tied to your account, not your password, so existing notes stay readable on devices where you are still signed in. If you lose access to every device that holds the key (for example, after a full sign-out everywhere and a browser data wipe), the server has no way to recover the ciphertext.

What do I need to start selling?

What does eInvolve charge sellers?

A 5% platform fee on each completed marketplace sale, plus Stripe's own processing fees.

How do affiliate partnerships work?

Accepted Answer

A provider (seller) and an affiliate (promoter) agree on a commission rate. Either party can send a request; the other must approve. Both sides must have a connected Stripe account before the partnership is approved — the provider needs it to receive payouts, and the affiliate needs it to receive the commission transfer. Manage partnerships under Settings → Affiliates.

Does affiliate commission reduce the 5% platform fee?

No. eInvolve still charges 5% of the order total. The affiliate commission is paid by the provider from their payout after the sale, according to the percentage you agreed.

Question 13

How long does an affiliate link count, and what if the customer clicks another affiliate?

Accepted Answer

The provider sets the window per affiliate partnership (default 30 days). Purchases of any of that seller's items within that window can credit that affiliate. Clicks for different sellers are remembered separately. If the customer later uses another affiliate's link for the same seller, the most recent link wins and that seller's timer restarts.

Is Partner the same as the 5% sale fee?

No. The 5% fee applies to marketplace sales. Partner is an optional monthly subscription for storage, visibility, AI item photo improve, and future ad-free benefits.

What is the difference between structure (sections) and attributes?

Structure defines what the offer is made of: sections with content, files, and links to other items (sub-items). Attributes define how an item can be configured — options with optional extra price. Example: an event uses a selectable section for ticket types; a T-shirt uses attributes for size and color.

What does "Customer selects" mean on an attribute?

When enabled, the buyer must choose from the values you configured on that item at checkout (for example pick a size). When disabled, you fixed the value on the item and the customer does not choose — useful for preset configurations you already set.

What is a gated section?

Accepted Answer

Gated sections hold content or sub-items that unlock after purchase — typical for courses or protected material. Customer-choice attributes in gated sections are not asked again at checkout; access is handled through the purchase flow for that content.

Do you issue NF-e automatically?

Accepted Answer

Yes — for Brazil-based providers selling products. Automatic NF-e is rolling out in phases: the workspace must be set to Brazil, the product must carry the required fiscal fields (NCM, CFOP), and the buyer must provide a CPF or CNPJ at checkout when prompted. Service notes (NFS-e) are not issued by the platform and must be uploaded manually per order. Outside Brazil, customers receive a platform receipt, not a local fiscal document. The automatic NF-e flow is currently marked as coming soon in Settings → Tax.

What happens if an NF-e is rejected by the tax authority?

If the fiscal partner rejects the NF-e (SEFAZ) or rejects the payload before sending, the provider sees the original error code and message on the order screen, in Portuguese. After correcting the underlying data — provider tax info, product fiscal fields or buyer tax ID — the provider can retry the emission from the same screen. The buyer is not shown rejection details.

What's the difference between a receipt and an NF-e?

A receipt is a platform-issued proof of purchase — it confirms the transaction but is not a fiscal document. An NF-e (Nota Fiscal Eletrônica, modelo 55) is the official Brazilian electronic invoice for products, issued to the buyer by the seller through the tax authority. eInvolve only emits NF-e for Brazil-based providers; everyone else uses the platform receipt.

How much does automatic NF-e cost?

The automatic NF-e flow runs on a separate metered subscription: R$ 0,15 per authorized NF-e, billed monthly by Stripe. The subscription is being rolled out in phases and is only available where the NF-e flag is enabled (Settings → Tax). You can cancel any time — authorized NF-e in the current period are still billed by Stripe.

How is the NF-e charge calculated?

Stripe receives one metered event of 15 cents (R$ 0,15) every time an NF-e is authorized by SEFAZ, and the monthly invoice sums all events. Failed emission attempts and rejected NF-e do not generate a meter event and are not charged. The detailed count for the current period is visible in Settings → Subscription.

If the tax authority rejects an NF-e, am I still charged?

Accepted Answer

No. Only authorized NF-e are metered. If SEFAZ rejects the NF-e, or if the API rejects the payload before sending, the order is marked with the rejection reason and no meter event is sent. After you fix the underlying data, retry the emission — only the eventual authorization is charged.

How do I find and buy?

Use Search, open a provider or item, chat if needed, add to cart, and pay through Stripe checkout.

How do refunds work?

Refunds must be requested from a signed-in account. Providers approve or reject and approved refunds are processed safely through Stripe. Guest checkout orders (placed without signing in) cannot request refunds — sign in or sync the order to your account first.

What is the Comanda Digital?

It's the in-person ordering flow: the waiter can launch your order on a tablet, or you can scan a QR code at the table and order from your phone. Both paths feed the same kitchen queue and the same per-order payment — you pay only for what you ordered, and the kitchen tells you when it's ready.

Do I need an account to order from my phone?

Yes — quick login (about 30 seconds). We tie your order to your account so you can pay on the same flow you already use, and so the kitchen can hand off the dish to the right person. You only need to log in once per device.

What if I don't have an account or can't log in?

Accepted Answer

Just call the waiter — they will type your order into the tablet on your behalf. Walk-in orders go through the same kitchen queue and the same per-order payment, they just don't have a logged-in customer attached.

Can I pay for the whole table at once?

Accepted Answer

No. Each order has its own payment. You can order what you want, in rounds, and pay for your own orders individually when they are ready. There is no combined table bill.

How do I know my order is ready?

The kitchen marks each order as ready in the system. The public panel on the wall (or behind the counter) shows your table and the order number — when it appears in the "ready" column, the waiter brings it to you or calls your name at the counter.

Do you check where I am?

Only if the establishment opted in. Some places turn on a light location check (with your browser's permission) to avoid orders from outside the venue. You always have a fallback: ask the waiter to scan a short code from your phone and the order goes through. The location check is off by default — ask the venue if you want to be sure.

Who pays Stripe fees?

Stripe charges processing fees on payments according to their pricing. They are separate from eInvolve's 5% platform fee.

What is the minimum Partner amount?

You can start at $1 per month and change the amount when your needs change.

How does Partner storage work?

Accepted Answer

Everyone has 10 GB free. With active Partner, extra linked storage costs $0.10 per GB from your shared monthly pool ($1 → up to +10 GB if spent only on storage). Deleting files frees that share of the pool in the billing period. Using AI or search boost reduces how much storage you can still fund from the same dollars.

Does Partner remove ads today?

Platform ads are coming soon. Partner is already set up so ad-free benefits apply once ads launch. Ad-free does not consume the Partner dollar pool.

How does Partner affect search visibility?

Accepted Answer

You always remain visible in search, whether or not you subscribe to Partner. With active Partner, search boost impressions draw from your shared pool (up to 100 boosts per $1 if spent only on boost). Non-contributors are not hidden.

What is AI image improve for items?

Accepted Answer

Active Partner subscribers will be able to enhance uploaded item photos from the item editor (cover or section media). Each run applies a clean white background, higher quality, and removes irrelevant clutter by default; you can add optional instructions. Each improve costs $0.20 from your shared pool (up to 5 per $1 if spent only on improves). Image improve is coming soon — it is not live in this build.
